Our Vision
the Strategic Change Group is a consulting organization committed to helping public, not-for-profit and private sector clients to manage change within their organizations.

Our vision is to be considered highly regarded and sought-after advisors, known for helping organizations to introduce and manage change to create sustainable, positive improvements.

Who We Are

After working for 10 years with several international consulting firms, Michael Schiel founded the Strategic Change Group with a vision to pursue his passion to find creative ways to help organizations manage change in a strategic, effective way.

Michael has over 11 years of experience leading strategy, organizational design, and transformation projects for public, not-for-profit and private sector clients. He has worked with government organizations at all levels in Canada, the United States and Asia, and has advised companies in the finance, real estate, insurance and automotive sectors.

Michael specializes in program management, process improvement, strategic planning and change management for large transformation and integration projects. Many of the challenges Michael has dealt with include business process improvement, process and technology integration, senior management stakeholder facilitation, change management, analysis of alternative service delivery options, and dealing with project priorities around funding and staffing.

What We Do

We work with each client to set up our projects on an individual basis. We do not impose the same methodologies, solutions or business models each time. Instead, we bring the skills and team model that make sense for each occasion.

Depending on the project needs, we will develop a team model and approach that makes sense. We may work one-on-one at the client site, use off-site facilities, work remotely, or use web technology to leverage virtual project collaboration tools.

We will bring senior, experienced resources that have the right skills for each engagement. We have a wide-ranging network of associates in change management, leadership development, process improvement, information technology, and other areas that can be brought to the team as required.

We use a variety of approaches to work in collaboration with our clients. We use virtual meeting rooms, file sharing tools, and robust online virtual project management sites to allow our teams to meet, create, and collaborate with our clients wherever they are.
